PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: UPCOMING WINTER STORM
The Borough of Ship Bottom is urging all residents and visitors to take precautions as a winter storm is expected to impact our area over the next 24–48 hours.
Winter storms can create dangerous conditions quickly, including heavy snow, ice, reduced visibility, and hazardous roadways.
PLEASE TAKE THE FOLLOWING STEPS:

Travel Only If Necessary

Avoid unnecessary driving during the storm.
- If you must drive, slow down, increase following distance, and keep headlights on.
Watch for Ice

Bridges, overpasses, and shaded areas may freeze first.

Walk carefully on sidewalks, steps, and driveways.
Prepare Your Home

Charge phones and devices.

Have flashlights, batteries, and essential supplies ready.

Check heating systems and bring pets indoors.

Remove all vehicles and items from the curb or roadway
Clear Snow & Ice Safely

Shovel early and often to prevent heavy buildup.

Stay hydrated and take breaks to avoid overexertion.
