AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOROUGH OF SHIP BOTTOM,
COUNTY OF OCEAN, STATE OF NEW JERSEY
TO EXCEED THE MUNICIPAL BUDGET
APPROPRIATION LIMITS AND TO ESTABLISH A CAP BANK
FOR THE YEAR 2026 (N.J.S.A. 40A:4-45.14)
PUBLIC NOTICE OF INTRODUCTION
PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Ordinance 2026-01 was introduced and passed by the Borough Council of Ship Bottom on first reading at a Borough Council Meeting held Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at 6:30 pm. This ordinance is to exceed the Municipal Budget Appropriation Limits by 2.5%, from 1.0% to 3.5%, and to establish a Cap Bank for the year 2026 (N.J.S.A. 40A:4-45.14)
The Ordinance will be considered for final passage and adoption after a public hearing thereon at a regular meeting of the Borough Council to be held, on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at 6:30 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be reached. At this time the public is invited to ask questions, raise objections, or provide public comment with regard to the proposed adoption of this Ordinance. Copies of all Ordinances are available at no cost at the Municipal Clerk’s Office located at 1621 Long Beach Boulevard, Ship Bottom, New Jersey, Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 pm.
