NOTICE TO BIDDERS
CONDITIONS OF SALE

            NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that bids will be received by the Mayor and Borough Council of the Borough of Ship Bottom in the Municipal Building, 1621 Long Beach Boulevard, Ship Bottom, New Jersey on Thursday, March 19th, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. by auction method, for the purchase of three (3) peddlers licenses.

  1. Each license will be sold at no less than the minimum bid price of $5,000.00. Each license shall include one (1) truck and two (2) drivers.
  2. The bidding will consist of individual offers at specified prices. There will be no limit to the number of offers to be received, but they must be in the minimum of $100.00 increase over the prior bid. The highest bidder will deliver a certified check, money order, cashier’s check, bid bond, cash or personal check for the bid offer at the time of the bidding.
  3. No more than one license shall be issued to any one person or company.
  4. Licenses issued shall not be transferrable except in the case of the license is issued to a corporation or company and the business is sold or transferred in which case the license may be transferred to the remainder of the license period only.
  5. The licenses shall be sold subject to municipal ordinances in effect at the time of sale, as well as other governmental regulations. Successful bidders shall be deemed “applicants” and must comply with all provisions of the Borough Code pertaining to peddlers and itinerant vendors.
  6. The sale of licenses are subject to final confirmation by the Ship Bottom Borough Council.
  7. Bidder(s) on the above-mentioned licenses are deemed by their actions to have accepted the terms and conditions imposed herein.
  8. The Borough reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
